Saga: "Worlds Apart Revisited"

With their album ‘Worlds Apart’ – Saga’s fourth one – these Canadians could stage a breakthrough in the US and Europe
when it was released in 1981. This was no less owned to their single hits ‘On The Loose’ and ‘Wind Him Up’. What followed
were celebrated live shows in sold-out places – Saga became rock stars, ‘Worlds Apart’ a classic. A quarter of a century
later, the band around frontman Michael Sadler surprised the fans by performing their complete work live on stage. With
‘World’s Apart’, a live-recording is now made available on 2CD, 2DVD and 2CD/2DVD limited edition.

In 2005, Saga obviously hasn’t suffered any losses with regard to their delight in playing. In fact, they continuously
have released albums and played live on stage. After some attempts to move in a new direction musical-wise, Michael
Sadler and the rest have – with the album ‘Full Circle’ from 1999 and its follow-ups – found back to their own distinctive
sound: Melodic art rock with virtuously played guitar and keyboard riffs. It was then no wonder that ‘Worlds Apart’ could
ideally be joined in with the set list of the tour promoting the album ‘Network’ (released in 2004).
The show in Pratteln, Switzerland was picked for the recording on CD and DVD. Cleverly, the band framed all nine ‘Worlds
Apart’ songs with long-time live hymns such as ‘Ice Nice’, ‘Humble Stance’ or the indispensable ‘Don’t Be Late’ and more
recent ones, but no less fascinating material such as ‘The Runaway’ or ‘Keep It Reel’. Further highlights were songs like
‘No Regrets’ and ‘Scratching The Surface’, both sung by keyboardist Jim Gilmour – of which the latter was only
accompanied by piano – as well as more rarely played ones like ‘We’ve Been Here Before’.

‘Worlds Apart Revisited’ will be available in three formats: Double CD, double DVD and limited edition housed in a slipcase
with CDs and DVDs in a lavish cover pack.

The double CD contains the entire live-recording. For all fans, there is plentiful of attractive bonus material on the bonus
disc of the 2DVD-set: In ‘Worlds Apart Road Stories’ the band members looking back on the making of this milestone in
their career, ‘Live In England 1981’ provides 5 songs that – back then – were recorded live for promotional use, the
40-minutes ‘Worlds Apart Revisited Documentary’ holds interviews and live clips from the years 1982 and 1983, and a
photo gallery gives an insight, among others, into their studio in England, where the album has been recorded. The
carefully designed booklet contains lyrics of all 22 songs from the show and many more pictures of the merchandise from
the ‘Worlds Apart’ album, tour posters as well as rare pictures. The limited edition additionally contains – along the lavish
packaging – an enhanced booklet extended to 24 pages.
